Privacy policy

What we collect, what we don't, and where it goes.

This page covers both the FareFind website and the FareFind app. Last updated 29 August 2026.

The short version

The FareFind website is a set of static pages — there's no account to create and no cookies set by FareFind. The FareFind app stores your travel profile and quote history on your own phone, not on a server. Nothing you type is sent anywhere until you press send on a WhatsApp message yourself. The only information that reaches us is what you choose to send us — by WhatsApp or by email.

Who we are

FareFind is an introduction service

FareFind puts traveller enquiries in front of licensed London private hire operators for airport transfers. We are not a taxi operator and we do not carry passengers ourselves.

For anything to do with this policy or your data, email info@farefind.co.uk. For UK GDPR purposes, FareFind is the data controller for enquiries you send us. For anything the app keeps on your own phone, you hold that data yourself — we have no copy and no way to reach it.

The website

farefind.co.uk is a static site

The website has no accounts, no server-side database, and no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind. It doesn't set cookies. The only third-party request the site makes is to Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which serves the typefaces used on this page; making that request means Google receives your IP address and browser details, and Google's servers are outside the UK, so that transfer is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

The quote form on the Get a quote page and elsewhere on the site works entirely in your browser. When you submit it, your browser assembles a WhatsApp message from what you typed and opens WhatsApp — on your phone if you're on mobile, or WhatsApp Web if you're on desktop — with that message ready to send. Nothing is sent to FareFind, stored, or logged unless and until you press send inside WhatsApp yourself.

The app

What the app stores on your device

The FareFind app keeps the following on your phone's local app storage only:

On-device storage
WhatWhy
Traveller profile — your name, contact number, usual airport, usual pickup point, usual passenger count and luggageSo your next quote is pre-filled
Enquiry history — your recent quotes, including route, date, time, passenger and luggage details, the fare range and the exact enquiry textSo you can look back at a quote and re-send it
App settings — the airport you used last, and whether you've seen the quote introductionSo the app opens where you left off

This data is not transmitted to FareFind or anyone else — we cannot see it. It's removed when you delete the app, and you can clear your profile and enquiry history yourself at any time from the app's More tab, using Clear enquiry history and Reset saved details.

What we don't do

No accounts, no tracking, no ads

  • No account, no sign-up, no password, on the site or in the app.
  • No analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifier, no cross-site or cross-app tracking.
  • No location access — your pickup point is text you type in.
  • No access to your contacts, photos, calendar or files.
  • No in-app payments, no card details, no financial information.
  • No cookies set by FareFind on the website; the app is native and doesn't use cookies at all.

Fare ranges shown in the app are worked out on your phone from pricing tables and airport guides built into the app — nothing is fetched from a server to calculate a quote.

The handoff

What happens when you send an enquiry

Whether you're using the website or the app, sending a quote enquiry works the same way: your browser or the app assembles a message from what you entered — pickup, airport, date and time, passengers and luggage, flight number and notes if you gave them, and your name and phone number — and opens a WhatsApp link to FareFind's business line, 447517875500, with that message sitting in the compose box.

Before you press send

Nothing has been sent. If you close WhatsApp without pressing send, we never see the message and nothing is sent on your behalf.

After you press send

We receive it on our WhatsApp business line and use it to prepare your enquiry and pass the relevant details to licensed operators so they can quote you. We keep enquiry messages for up to 24 months so we can handle follow-up questions and complaints, then delete them.

WhatsApp is a third party — once your message is in WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to it as well as ours. We don't control WhatsApp. If you'd rather not use it, email info@farefind.co.uk instead. On the website, the link opens WhatsApp Web if you're on desktop or the WhatsApp app if you're on mobile; in the app, if WhatsApp isn't installed, the link opens WhatsApp Web in your browser instead. Either way, you still choose whether to send.

Operators

Sharing your enquiry with operators

If you send us an enquiry, we pass the details needed to quote it — route, date, time, passengers, luggage, flight number and your contact number — to licensed private hire operators covering that route. They contact you directly with a fixed price. They are separate businesses and become independent controllers of the details we pass on; each is responsible for its own handling of your data under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to advertisers or data brokers.

Legal basis

UK GDPR

Your enquiry, and passing it to operators: legitimate interests — you contacted us asking to be quoted, and that can't happen without sharing the journey details. You can withdraw at any time by telling us to stop.

Replying to emails you send us: legitimate interests in answering you.

Data on your phone or in your browser: no legal basis is engaged. We do not process it; it never reaches us.

Under 18s

Children

FareFind is meant for adults booking their own travel. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13, and neither the site nor the app has anything aimed at children.

Your rights

What you can do

Because your profile and history on the app never leave your phone, and the website stores nothing about you between visits, you already hold and control that data outright — clear your profile and enquiry history from the app's More tab, or delete the app.

For any enquiry you have actually sent us by WhatsApp or email, you have the right to ask for a copy, correction, deletion or restriction of it, to object to our use of it, and to ask us to port it. Email info@farefind.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. Tell us the phone number you sent the enquiry from so we can find it.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, which lists its own contact details there.

Changes

Changes to this policy

If we change what the site or the app does with your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to the app will be noted in its release notes.
